Position Summary
This position is located in Nashville at the Bridgestone Tower and relocation assistance is NOT being offered. Applicants must live within a commutable distance from the Nashville area or they will be declined.
Bridgestone has developed unique capabilities across the value chain that allow the company to deliver sustainability-oriented value to its customers. These include novel materials that are recycled or bio-derived, and supply chain and production capabilities to manage CO2e emissions.
Responsibilities
The Sustainability Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and deploying solutions to leverage Bridgestone’s unique sustainability capabilities for business wins. These activities include:
- Developing and proving opportunities to enhance customer value (and win market share and / or price premium) within the company’s network of 2,000+ retail stores.
- Benchmarking and analysis of competitive activities
- Strategic and financial assessment of opportunities
- Piloting of selected programs.
- Enhancing and deploying market-facing messaging around Bridgestone’s unique leadership position in sustainability, including usage of closed-loop recycled material in products and low-carbon solutions.
- Assisting with customer requests for analyses including Life Cycle Assessment, sustainable / circular material content, and other customer sustainability goals.
Required qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in finance, analytical, or business development roles of increasing responsibility
- Experience in evaluating financial ROI of investment opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business models & bring new, financially viable products to market
- Strong presentation skills and an ability to articulate in oral & written form a vision with objectives, strategies, and plans
- Able to interface with internal leaders & external executives at partner organizations
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional / matrix environment
- Relevant bachelor’s degree
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a retail environment
- Experience in tire or automotive industries
- Experience in materials science or supply chain analysis, with the ability to interpret technical data and assess sustainability including life cycle assessment, cost, and performance implications in a business context
- MBA
Minimum Qualifications
