Position Summary
We’re currently looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team in Nashville, TN.
This role will assist in the preparation, review, reconciliation of assigned operating tax returns including the calculation of supporting tax adjustments, prepayments, credits, etc. Additionally, this role will assist in operating tax special projects, research assignments, etc. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced sales and use tax professional, with a solid track record.
*** This role is a HYBRID position in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday @ Bridgestone HQ in Nashville, TN. ***
Responsibilities
Prepare and review assigned operating tax returns including any required estimates, prepayments, and or amended tax return filings
Support tax accounting by conducting monthly and quarterly close activities, including reconciliation of tax general ledger accounts, preparation of operating tax accruals, identification of potential uncertain tax positions, and forecasting.
Serve as the operating tax subject matter expert for assigned tax jurisdictions and businesses
Perform special tax research projects such as understanding the implications associated with changes in tax law
Prepare reconciliation of adjustments, with explanations, from system calculated, ledger accruals, to filed tax returns
Support ongoing operating tax exemption certificate management activities.
Team with Tax Risk COE to clarify positions taken within the tax return and prepare responses to examiner requests for information
Understand and comply with tax regulations, SOX/JSOX regulations, internal controls and tax policies.
Lead or support projects as required to deliver tax or business objectives.
Provide timely feedback and guidance to help other tax team members strengthen their technical and professional skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in multi-state operating tax environment
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferred experience with SAP
