Position Summary
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is accountable for the achievement of CFNA sales objectives in the assigned geographic territory for applicable Bridgestone Retail Organization (BSRO) company owned stores within the Central Division. The ideal candidate will be based within the Central US area.
The Strategic Account Manager, Central Division BSRO, is the business continuity leader for CFNA business and the conduit between Bridgestone Retail Operations in the Central Division and CFNA. This individual will be a subject matter expert for CFNA’s products and services and will be relied upon to broaden existing relationships within BSRO. The ideal candidate will take a consultative-based approach to growing the business and footprint within their assigned geographic location.
Responsibilities
Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships within BSRO assigned territory to meet/exceed business and market share objectives.
Conducts on-site strategy and planning meetings with area, region, and division leadership teams.
Grows CFNA tender share and influences the uses of CFNA’s services to demonstrate market leadership and value-add.
Creates and manages an internal Sales Action plan for assigned territory that highlights sales and market share objectives, promotional plans, budgetary needs, and overcoming obstacles to growth.
Collaborates with internal marketing and other relevant center of excellence (COE) stakeholders to develop employee and consumer incentives that grow credit card sales.
Expedites the resolution of cardholder (BOSS) issues and provides feedback with internal CFNA stakeholders.
Provides Sales & Marketing Leadership with ‘voice of the customer’ feedback regarding needs, issues, competitive gaps and competitive landscape.
Prepares daily, monthly, and annual sales forecasts for assigned territory.
Collaborates with Region and Area Sales Managers on store planning and control measures to deliver on application and sales targets.
Maintains collaborative relationship with internal support staff across all COE’s through frequent communication and feedback sharing.
Participates in regional training meetings, new store openings, business meetings, and consumer events (as needed) to promote CFNA products and services.
Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience/knowledge of the CFNA and BSRO businesses
- Experience leading training programs in small to medium sized groups
- Solid financial acumen
