Position Summary
We’re currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Nashville, TN.
This role will service as business partner for Bridgestone Americas' Manufacturing and be responsible for financial analysis and reporting, annual budget processes, and monthly close activities. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced financial professional, with a solid track record of financial analysis, reporting, modeling, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
Participate in development of the long and short range financial planning processes for $6B in manufacturing cost, direct material expense, operating expenses and balance sheets, inclusive of complex modeling, database management, and consolidations
Manage monthly, quarterly and annual operating expense closing process including accruals, reclass entries
Develop operating expense forecasts and budgets; analyze actual spending versus budget and forecasts; track headcount movements
Create and refine financial analysis and financial reporting simplifying complex information into crisp/digestible data-driven insights, necessary to make smart business decisions and clearly and accurately explain financial results
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis, reporting, and responses to requests and inquiries from Japan Global Home Office and Global Manufacturing group
Deliver step change improvement in FP&A capability to deliver significant business value considering cutting edge technology and out of the box thinking and influence BSAM wide process development to improve decision making ability and solve problems in collaboration with other teams
Participate in cross training to promote a better understanding and execution of core processes, new technology, and metrics (lead and lag) to enhance group’s efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of analysis
Actively supports and interacts with members of the multiple organizations, serving as a subject matter expert on financial process, financial results, tools, and where appropriate technology
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in manufacturing, FP&A, general accounting
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Power Apps
Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferred experience with SAP and SAP SAC
Experience in a global company with operations in North and South America is a plus
Experience managing financial complexity
