Position Summary
This position will oversee the tire maintenance and service program on transit bus vehicles. This position requires the management of teammates, a communication cadence with Transit personnel, administrative duties, and physically performing tire work. This position requires being flexible and working the early morning shift. This position will work at Bus Transit locations.

Responsibilities
SUPERVISION
- Oversee teammates at transit location(s).
- Communicate any concerns with teammate performance, attendance or behavior to management.
- Make Field Manager aware of instances when teammates exceed performance expectations and their contributions positively impact the business.
- Manage paperwork and inspections per the contract.
- Visit location(s) regularly to validate contract compliance and safety.
- Communicate with Bridgestone and transit personnel as needed.
- Ensure each teammate understands expectations and can work independently.
- Ensure teammates are performing duties in a safe manner.
GENERAL SERVICE
- Mounting, balancing, and repairing Bus Tires.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Occasionally service other customers in the general vicinity of transit.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in efficient operating conditions and keep them clean (inside & out).
- Unload and load tire and related items from the truck as required.
- Keep the work area clean and clear of all debris to ensure a safe work environment.
- Attend meetings held by the Field Manager
- Process all necessary paperwork on time.
- Observe all safety rules and procedures associated with the performance of duties.
- Use personal protective equipment according to regulations and policies.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OCCUPATIONAL DEMANDS:
- The environment is very hot during the summer months and cold during winter.
- Exposure to various chemicals used in cleaning, lubrication, etc.
- Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting over 50 pounds regularly.
- 100+ pounds of pressure when pushing tires.
- Repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations, vibrations.

- What to communicate to Field Manager
- Determine tire and supply needs.
- Types of repairs necessary.
- Material to best complete the service work requested.
Determine disposition of off tires.
