Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Manager leads the Center of Excellence for Accounts Receivable, establishing policies and governance to ensure best practices and compliance. You will be responsible for overseeing several functions within the accounts receivable department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of cash applications and price administration. This role involves managing a team of professionals, optimizing processes, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Center of Excellence Leadership: Lead the Center of Excellence for Accounts Receivable, driving innovation, standardization, and best practices across the organization.
- Policy and Governance: Establish and enforce policies and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in accounts receivable management.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal departments, customers, and external auditors to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage accounting software and ERP systems to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounts receivable specialists, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Cash Application: Oversee the accurate and timely application of cash receipts to customer accounts, ensuring proper reconciliation and reporting.
- Price Administration: Manage the administration of pricing, including adjustments, discounts, and promotions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance related field with supervisory or management experience. Preferably experience within a multinational manufacturing organization.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, and effective communication skills.
