Position Summary
Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis work focuses on short and long-term financial planning and/or financial analysis of business operations for the purpose of measuring and forecasting future business performance. This includes:
•Analysis of internal financial information (e.g., profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.)
•Analysis of external economic conditions and their impact on business operations (e.g., inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, etc.)
•Financial modeling to measure and forecast potential impacts of financial transactions and corporate development activities
Responsibilities
• Partners with FP&A Team to provide financial reporting and analysis.
• Supports budgeting and financial planning to align business strategy with proper investment to fund activities that drive the business.
• Leads monthly closing process for functional areas of responsibility.
• Produces in-depth analyses for review by management with recommendations and enhanced insight that will influence overall business decision making.
• Educates the team on financial processes and identifies areas for process improvement.
• Ensures processes and procedures are followed by groups supported.
• Responsible for integrating resources effectively and anticipating conflicting needs with pro-active solutions.
• Operates as part of a larger team and in managing own work.
• Maintains strong interactive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying and responding effectively.
• Other duties as assigned
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
