Medical, Dental and Vision
Bridgestone health plans offer nationwide medical plan coverage, with various plans designed to meet your family’s unique needs. We have plans that allow you to participate in a healthcare savings account or flexible savings account, and all medical plans include prescription drug coverage.
Medical Maternity Leave and Parental Leave
As part of our short-term disability program, Bridgestone extends eight weeks of 100% paid medical leave to birthing parents. Our parental leave benefit, two weeks of 100% paid leave, is inclusive and available to eligible parents of all types, including those who adopt or use surrogates.
When focusing on the whole person, we recognize that teammates have different needs. We continue to enhance our offerings, to include autism spectrum coverage, 3D mammogram benefits, transgender services coverage, flexible workplace benefits (including a work-from-anywhere program for eligible roles) and wellness rooms at corporate locations to ensure our benefits meet the full spectrum of our teammates’ needs.
Disability Care and Protection
Bridgestone believes in disability protection aligned with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA). This protection prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals with disabilities in job application procedures, hiring, firing, advancement, compensation, job training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment. Bridgestone also provides short-term disability coverage for its teammates. This benefit enables teammates to have financial stability during the eligible period to help them get back on track after a challenging life event or illness. In addition to the company-paid short-term disability benefit, Bridgestone offers teammates the option to purchase a long-term disability benefit through a third-party provider.
We offer policy tier options to teammates for an affordable price, including basic life insurance that is 100% Bridgestone paid. Additionally, supplement life coverage is offered to teammates and their families.
At Bridgestone, we believe that safety in the workplace is critical. Our goal is to provide a safe work environment for all. We provide on-the-job training to build you up as a knowledgeable and safe teammate at your respective work site.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Bridgestone’s EAP, is available to teammates, their families and household members. The EAP offers a broad range of resources. Whether a teammate or a household member is dealing with addiction, depression, or stress, or simply needs emotional well-being support, there are programs, and free counseling sessions focused on mental health to help navigate some of life’s everyday challenges and crises. Additionally, the EAP can be a great resource to help teammates or household members navigate caregiving support needs.
