Position Summary
This role will be responsible for key treasury initiatives that enhance the company's financial flexibility, optimize liquidity, and manage enterprise financial risks. This role is responsible for developing and executing funding strategies, overseeing debt capital markets activities, leading pension, foreign exchange (FX), and commodity risk management programs, and driving improvements in free cash flow and working capital performance.
*** This role is a HYBRID position in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday @ Bridgestone HQ in Nashville, TN. ***
Responsibilities
- Lead debt issuance activities, including public and private capital market transactions, bank financing, and refinancing opportunities.
- Lead the company's pension risk management activities, including funding strategy analysis and evaluation of market-related exposures.
- Oversee foreign exchange and commodities risk management programs, ensuring effective identification, measurement, and mitigation of currency risks.
- Drive initiatives to improve the company's cash conversion cycle and working capital performance.
- Support enterprise-wide initiatives focused on operational efficiency and cash discipline.
- Manage relationships with banks and external advisors
- Lead, coach, and develop one treasury professional while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance with 8+ years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Debt Capital Markets, Banking, Corporate Finance, or Financial Risk Management. MBA, CFA, CTP, or other relevant professional designations preferred.
- Proven expertise in free cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
- Demonstrated experience executing funding transactions and managing debt portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of pension funding, FX risk management, commodity hedging, and financial derivatives.
- Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and forecasting skills.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders.
