For users located in Argentina, this Policy applies to the processing of Personal Data in connection with the [https://www.bebridgestone.com/es/] site and the Bridget chatbot functionality made available for informational purposes in relation to job opportunities at Bridgestone.

Antártida Argentina 2715, Llavallol, Buenos Aires, Argentina, without prejudice to any other Bridgestone group entity that may act as data controller or participate in the recruitment process, as applicable.  

For users located in Chile, this Policy applies to the processing of Personal Data in connection with the [*] site and the Bridget chatbot functionality made available for informational purposes in relation to job opportunities at Bridgestone.

This Site Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Bridgestone collects, protects, uses and discloses information received from visitors and users of our Site when browsing for job openings, accessing Site content, submitting an application for a job opportunity posted on the Site, checking the status of an application, interacting with our recruitment chatbot ("Bridget")  or otherwise interacting with the Site. Bridgestone has created this Policy to demonstrate and inform you of its firm commitment to the privacy and protection of Personal Data. This Policy, together with the Terms of Use of the Site, sets forth the general rules and policies governing the use of the Site.

Bridget Chatbot Functionality. Bridgestone may make available an automated chatbot named Bridget to provide general information regarding job opportunities, recruitment processes and other employment-related information. Bridget is intended to operate as an informational tool and is not designed to receive job applications, resumes or sensitive personal information through the chat.

The Bridget chatbot functionality is provided with the support of Paradox (“Paradox”), a third-party service provider engaged to provide chatbot-related technology services. Paradox may process information generated through the chatbot solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining and supporting the chatbot functionality on behalf of Bridgestone and in accordance with Bridgestone’s instructions, subject to the applicable contractual terms.

Use of Bridget is voluntary. Users who do not wish to interact with the chatbot may continue to browse the Site and access job opportunity information through the other functionalities made available by Bridgestone.

Users should not include sensitive personal information or unnecessary personal information in their interactions with Bridget.  If a User voluntarily provides personal information through the chatbot, such information may be processed for the purposes described in this Policy and to respond to the User’s inquiry.

This Policy applies solely to information collected through the Site and/or interaction with Bridget, Bridgestone is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any non-Bridgestone affiliated sites to which the site links.

By using the Site or the Bridget, you agree to and are bound by the terms, conditions, guidelines, and notices contained in this Policy.

Bridgestone may modify this Policy at any time, at its discretion, and modifications will be effective upon posting on the Site. In the event we make changes to this Policy in the future, we will notify you through various means, including, without limitation, and we may also provide notice to the email address associated with your user account – created when applying to any position. Such notice will allow you to review and assess the changes and, where applicable, exercise any rights available to you under applicable data protection laws.

To the extent that any such changes or updates require your consent under applicable law, we will obtain your express consent in accordance with the requirements of the applicable legal and regulatory framework. In case the User is a Costa Rican citizen, any modification to this policy will be notified directly.

Information Collection. Bridgestone collects Personal Data when you provide it to us or when you interact with us through the Site or through the Bridget. There are two types of information that websites and interactive applications may collect about you: (i) Personal Data and (ii) Anonymized Data. This section details what types of Anonymized Data and Personal Data we collect from you when you access or use our Site.

  • For users located in Mexico, unless expressly indicated otherwise, Bridgestone does not request or process sensitive Personal Data, as defined under applicable law, through the Site. Should the processing of sensitive Personal Data be required for a specific purpose, Bridgestone will inform the data subject accordingly and obtain any consent required under such applicable law.

Personal Data. "Personal Data" is any information that directly or indirectly identifies you, such as your name, e-mail address, address or telephone number. In certain circumstances, we may request, permit or otherwise offer you the opportunity to submit your Personal Data in connection with a feature, program or other aspect of our Site. Sometimes this Personal Data is required when you create an account or register on our Site, apply and participate in the evaluation and hiring process for a position at Bridgestone, or make a request for certain resources or materials related to our services, or when you contact us, or we may ask you to voluntarily provide us with Personal Data in certain areas of our Site. Certain information may not be personally identifiable when it stands alone (for example, your age), but may become identifiable when combined with other information (for example, your age and name). Whether or not you provide this information is your choice; however, in many cases, this type of information is necessary to participate in the services offered through the Site, such as the application process, signing up for alerts, obtaining a benefit we may offer or accessing certain content on our Site.

Anonymized Data. This is information relating to an individual who cannot be identified. Websites use this information to administer their sites and provide their products and services. This may include information such as browser type, Internet Protocol (IP) address, or information related to the use of the Site, such as computer type, browser type and plug-ins, language, operating system, JavaScript enabled, click data, page served, time of request, previous page viewed, and other similar information. Bridgestone may, from time to time, engage third parties to help us collect and aggregate anonymous information about visitors' and users' use of the Site. We and our third-party service providers and partners may collect the following species from Data Anonymized:

  • IP address. An IP address is a unique sequence of numbers assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, prevent hacking attacks on the Site's server and may use and aggregate it to gather broad demographic, geographic and industry information. The Site may also collect anonymous "traffic data" that does not identify you personally, but which may be useful for marketing purposes or to improve the products and services we offer.

However, where such information can be associated with an identified or identifiable individual, Bridgestone will treat it as Personal Data in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

Registration; Application. Bridgestone may obtain your Personal Data, including name, e-mail address, telephone number, physical address, and employment history if you provide Bridgestone with application or registration information for any opportunity on or through the Site. Bridgestone and its service providers may also process your Personal Data if you provide or submit documents, such as a resume or other documents that include Personal Data. The process will assist us in reviewing your application as a potential Bridgestone employee, evaluating your qualifications, maintaining records related to recruitment and human resources, analyzing the recruitment process, conducting background checks, facilitating certain steps involved in establishing an employment relationship should you become a Bridgestone employee, complying with applicable laws and contractual obligations, and communicating with you.

E-mail correspondence. We offer visitors and users of the Site the opportunity to sign up to receive e-mail alerts about certain job opportunities. To subscribe to this communication, we ask for your contact information, such as name, e-mail address and telephone number.

Correspondence; Feedback. In various parts of the Site, there are links or forms that can be used to contact Bridgestone. Bridgestone may also use your Personal Data to solicit feedback about the Site or services. Your contact information, such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, may be required on these forms for us to respond appropriately. Bridgestone may keep this information on file, but does not currently share, sell, license or otherwise transmit this information to third parties without your express authorization.

Social media. We may also receive your Personal Data from other sources, such as social media platforms. When you choose to connect your social media account to your profile or account on the Site, certain Personal Data from your social media account will be shared with us, which may include Personal Data that is part of your profile. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Personal Data that you provide through the Site may be combined with Personal Data that you provide to us through online or offline means, Personal Data that is publicly available or that we may obtain online or offline.

Commitment to Children's Privacy. Bridgestone does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 18 through the Site. If Bridgestone discovers that any registration has been made by a minor, such registration will be immediately and permanently canceled and removed from its database, with or without notice.

Use and Disclosure of Information. Bridgestone uses and shares the information you provide to us and the information we collect from you in accordance with this Policy.

Other uses and disclosures. Bridgestone may disclose your Personal Data to third parties as described in this Policy. By using the Site, you acknowledge Bridgestone's use and disclosure of your information and Personal Data as described in this Policy. Bridgestone may provide Anonymized Data to third parties. Bridgestone may disclose your Personal Data (i) to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation; (ii) in response to a subpoena or other court order, if otherwise required by law, or to cooperate with law enforcement authorities; (iii) as necessary to exercise Bridgestone's rights in a lawful manner; (iv) when Bridgestone believes it is necessary or desirable to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving personal threats to physical safety, allegations of intellectual property infringement, violations of privacy rights; (v) in connection with the sale of substantially all of Bridgestone's assets, the merger, dissolution or reorganization of Bridgestone, or in connection with the transfer of a discrete portfolio of assets or information (in which case the privacy policy of the new company may govern the future protection, use and disclosure of your Personal Data).

Ownership of Your Information. Your Personal Information is and will remain your property. By using the Site, you permit Bridgestone to use your personal information in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

International Personal Data Transfer Informed Consent: By reading and accepting this Policy and/ or interacting through the Bridget, you acknowledge and give Bridgestone your informed consent to any international transfer of your Personal Data accessed, collected and processed under this Policy to countries that do not have adequate levels of protection according to the laws and administrative provisions of your country. In this case, your Personal Information may be transferred to servers located in the United States of America.  In any event, any such international transfer of your Personal Data by Bridgestone will follow this Policy and applicable law. Retention: We erase your personal data if the retention of that personal data is no longer necessary. This depends on the purposes for which they were collected.  Bridget Interaction Data: Information generated through Bridget will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and support the chatbot functionality, respond to user inquiries, maintain appropriate records, comply with legal or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, enforce rights, and support information security purposes. Technical and device information may be retained for up to 730 days, unless a shorter or longer period is required or permitted by applicable law or necessary for security, compliance or legitimate operational purposes.

Your Message – In case you contact us, we will keep the information you provided until no longer required.

Device information – We store your device information in our systems for no longer than 730 days.

Subscription – In case you subscribe to the newsletter, news feeds and/or press releases, we keep your personal data until you unsubscribe from these services.

Please note – Bridgestone has the right and sometimes is even obligated to retain certain information for a longer period. This period always complies with the legally permissible duration.

Data Security. The Site incorporates appropriate physical, electronic and administrative procedures designed to safeguard the confidentiality of your Personal Data through the Site in compliance with applicable law. Although Bridgestone takes precautions to protect your Personal Data, Bridgestone cannot guarantee absolute security as it is technically infeasible today on the Internet. You acknowledge and agree that Bridgestone shall not be liable for any breach of security that results from causes or events beyond Bridgestone's control (including, but not limited to, hacking, terrorism, power outages, defects in third party security products and services, your own acts and omissions, and other similar events beyond Bridgestone's control).

External Links. The Site may provide links to various websites to which Bridgestone has no dealings. When you click on one of these links, you will be transferred off our Site and connected to the third-party website you have selected. We are not responsible for the nature, quality or accuracy of the content or opinions expressed on such websites, and they are not investigated, monitored or checked for quality, accuracy or completeness by us. USERS' RIGHTS

  • Confirmation of the existence of processing of Personal Data and access to Personal Data: by means of a request from the user, we will grant confirmation of the existence of processing of Personal Data and access to Personal Data, under the terms of the applicable legislation.
  • Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data: the user may, at any time, change and edit their Personal Data by sending an e-mail to any of the listed mail accounts at the end of this document – be sure you send your request to the contact at your country.
    • In case the User is an Argentinian citizen and is not satisfied with the answer given by Bridgestone to his/her request, the User may contact the Argentine Agency for Access to Public Information: Pte. Julio A. Roca 710, 2nd Floor - City of Buenos Aires.  www.argentina.gob.ar/aaip  or datospersonales@aaip.gob.ar Telephone: +5411-2821-0047.  Before any eventuality, the user is informed that as the owner of his personal data, he has the right to exercise his right to access such data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest to that effect is evidenced in accordance with the provisions of Article 14, Paragraph 3 of Law No. 25.326 of the Argentine republic. The enforcement authority in Argentina, the agency for access to public information, the controlling body of law no. 25.326), has the power to hear complaints and claims filed in relation to the non-compliance with the rules on personal data protection.
    • In case the User is a Chilean citizen and is not satisfied with the answer given by Bridgestone to his/her request, the User may contact Chilean Data Protection Agency. Before any eventuality, the user is informed that as the owner of his personal data, he has the right to exercise his right to access such data free of charge.
  • Portability: users may request the portability of their Personal Data at any time, excluding data that has already been anonymized or deleted, under the terms of the applicable legislation.
  • Information on the shared use of data: users may have access to information on the possible sharing of their Personal Data, under the terms established in this Policy.
  • Information on the possibility of not giving consent and revoking consent: where applicable, the user may revoke their consent at any time, by means of a free and easy expression.
    • In case the User is located in Mexico, the User may exercise the rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition (ARCO Rights), as well as revoke consent for the processing of Personal Data, where applicable, by contacting us at the applicable contact for Mexico listed in the section below, in accordance with Articles 27 to 34 of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. If the User considers that the processing of his or her Personal Data violates the applicable data protection legislation, the User may file a complaint with the competent Mexican data protection authority.
  • Anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive or processed in breach of the applicable law .
  • Deletion of Personal Data processed exclusively with the consent of the data subject.
  • Opt-Out: We support our visitors' and users' right to choose. If you receive marketing or promotional communications from Bridgestone, you may opt-out of receiving future promotional communications by contacting us at dpo@la-bridgestone.com. Your opt-out request may take up to ten (10) business days to process, and you may receive communications from us or our third-party service providers during that time. Please note that if you make subsequent requests or other communications through our Site, we may respond to them to fulfill your request or get back to you.
  • Review of decisions taken solely based on automated processing of Personal Data.
