Gum Dippers Retiree Group

Established in 1980 by a group of retired Firestone employees, the Gum Dippers are a global retiree group comprised of nearly 1,000 former Bridgestone and Firestone employees. While the group originated near Jacksonville, FL, word has spread over the subsequent decades as former employees retired and reconnected with past colleagues.

Joining the group costs a nominal fee, and retirees looking to join can find more information on the Gum Dippers website.

Retiree Discount

Bridgestone offers a Teammate Tire and Automotive Service Discount Program to Bridgestone and Firestone retirees and their spouse. Retirees are not required to be enrolled in Bridgestone Americas (BSA) or Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) benefits programs to take advantage of the teammate discount program. Spouses of deceased BSA and BSRO retirees also are eligible. This discount is for products and services at BSRO tire and automotive service centers in the U.S. – including Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus and Wheel Works store locations.

To use your retiree discount, you must provide your Bridgestone Universal Identification (UID) number when you schedule or arrive for your service at a Bridgestone retail location. If you do not know your UID number, contact the myHR Contact Center at 1-855-873-6947 prior to going to the retail location.
