Position Summary
Performs quality checks, tests, and evaluations on material, equipment, processes, and product.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Performs routine daily/weekly/monthly checks and tests on manufacturing equipment, processes, material, and product to verify conformity to specifications.
- Assists in set-up, monitoring, data collection, and evaluation of special test and production trials utilizing graphs, charts, and written reports.
- Assist Production in reducing waste by performing miscellaneous tasks throughout the production area.
- Helps create and revise SOP.
- Helps maintains inventory of chemical and other material supplies required for performance of laboratory quality testing.
- Helps complete inventory check every month.
- Maintains laboratory and work areas in a clean and orderly condition by performing 5S duties.
- Helps ISO9001 internal audit and related activities.
- Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), with good math and mechanical skills, and two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, and verbally, with all levels of management and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Requires ability to perform data entry, and to plan, organize, and evaluate. Must be self-starter and able to work well with others.
