Position Summary
This position is located in the beautiful West Texas mountains in Fort Stockton, TX. This amazingly beautiful community has awesome weather, great southern mountain views, and a sincere way of life. Full relocation assistance is being offered for this position. VISA sponsorship is NOT being offered for this role.
The position focuses on supporting the equipment and the facility where we test automotive tires so this person should be mechanically inclined and enjoy troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining industrial test equipment. Some knowledge in the electrical area would be a plus. This person will focus on test engineering and facility/maintenance engineering projects.
An Experienced Professional position applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. This position must be able to work independently with general supervision and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. This individual will be a source of knowledge and expertise on equipment throughout the entire automotive tire testing facility.
Responsibilities
• Works on engineering problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals
• Supports facility engineering projects and maintenance operations
• Applies engineering principles to develop mechanical or electrical systems that meet technical/functional specifications.
• Conducts various forms of modeling (mathematical, 3D, etc.) to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible
• Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype systems
• Supports quality control documentation
• Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Office applications
Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Experience with Automotive testing
Mechanical aptitude with some electrical experience
Experience with measurement equipment calibration
Experience with Facility Operations and Maintenance
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
