Position Summary
We are looking for candidates local to the Lake Charles, LA area and we are NOT offering relocation assistance for this role so applicants should live within a commutable distance from Lake Charles, LA or they will be declined.
We are searching for well-rounded technical candidates who are willing to learn new skills and subject matter, take on daily challenges with a positive attitude and an open mind, and work in a challenging, agile environment. You will assist in developing additional functionality in our web-based manufacturing operations management platform (Parsec TrakSYS), process data historian (OsiSoft PI), ERP System (IFS) and Microsoft SQL databases. You will also aid other teammates by providing expertise on data collection, storage, retrieval, and general technical knowledge. To succeed in this position, candidates should excel at creative problem solving, self-learning, and working with a diverse team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal departments to support, define, and implement new solutions to enhance data collection, production monitoring, KPI visualization, and other business requirements
- Support internal departments by developing efficient methods for data retrieval and aggregation from many disparate sources in preparation for data analysis
- Responsible for solution life cycle including functional design, development, testing, implementation, procedures/manual development, and training
- Participate in continuous improvement activities on a regular basis
- Assist with new technology research and feasibility studies
- OSIsoft PI | Process Data Historian
- Monitor and Maintain Server Health
- Maintain/Configure Interface Nodes
- Install/Update/Troubleshoot Client Software
- Create new assets as necessary (tags, asset framework objects, analyses, etc.)
- Develop data retrieval methods using PI's various frameworks including WebAPI, AFSDK, and SQL
- Support creation of process displays
- Support creation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) plant wide
- Parsec TrakSYS | Manufacturing Operations Management
- Monitor and Maintain Server/Web Health
- Update/Create new functionality with the TrakSYS Framework
- Optimize Transact-SQL Queries
- Document necessary application workflows
- IFS ERP
- Support and develop custom solutions and integrations with 3rd party applications
- Support and develop custom reports and lobbies/business analytic dashboards
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Monitor and Maintain Server/Web Health
- Maintain small scale databases
- Develop/Implement views, queries, functions, procedures, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience preferred
- Programming experience; preferably with C#/ASP.NET, JavaScript, and Transact-SQL
- Experience or education in database design and entity-relationship diagrams
- Willing to participate in programming challenges after 1st round of interviews
- Strong problem solving skills and adaptability
- Strong will to learn new skills and take on challenging projects
- Ability to work with a team diverse in technical abilities and background
- Ability to develop solutions from concept to implementation
