Position Summary
Building Maintenance Worker performs a variety of daily tasks to maintain, and repair necessary maintenance requests, including the upkeep of offices, building, and grounds. Able to work in various situations and respond flexibly to changing circumstances, priorities, and time constraints.
Responsibilities
- Focus on maintenance and safety of building
- Collaborates well with maintenance team
- Restocking, repairing, or replacing any request from the departments
- Maintaining the record storage area and warehouse
- Daily shredding of documents as needed
- Maintain plumbing repairs within the building
- Replace light bulbs
- Move office furniture or set-up table, chairs for business meetings, company events or department needs
- Seasonal mowing and snow removal
- Building maintenance inside and outside
- Assist with Xerox copier maintenance usage and delivering cases of paper
- Light maintenance on the HVAC units, changing filters, belts, and route cleaning
- Roof and gutter maintenance
- Able to collaborate well with people and adjust to daily needs and changes
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license
- Up to 1 year of working experience in office building maintenance
- Handles the physical demands of the job which include standing, bending, pulling, and pushing
- Must be able to climb ladders, not afraid of heights
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills, speak clearly with various levels of management
Preferred: Building maintenance background or trade
• Works on assignments that are routine in nature or follows standard procedures.
• Works closely with Manager and other specialization teammates
• Directly impacts daily success of specialization
• Learns and develops skills that grow and advance career
• Other duties as assigned.
• High School degree, driver license, able to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs
