Position Summary
The GCR Service Manager is responsible for combining in-depth Medium Truck and Mining Vehicle Tire Service knowledge with people skills. This role will manage customer relationships and frequently serve as a liaison between Mine Tire Technicians and Customers. As well as select, coach, lead, train and supervise mining technicians while assisting with the purchase of parts, materials and equipment.

Responsibilities
Problem solving and handling customer complaints
Aptitude to manage inventory, scheduling, equipment maintenance, etc.
Capacity to lead and coach others
Teammate and customer/communication skills
Ability to recruit and select technicians and general service teammates successfully according to store requirements
Assign and schedule work duties to Mine Tire technician Service staff according to individual skill level
Serving all tire service needs of customers on vehicles such as Medium trucks, Graders, Loaders, and Haul trucks.
Oversee the hiring and training of an effective mine tire service team
Ensuring high teammate retention
Maintain compliance with quality standards
Developing customer satisfaction and retention
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
2-year degree or equivalent is preferred
Experience Working at or for Mines or in mining environments preferred
Off the Road, and Industrial Tire service experience highly preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be 18 years or older
Bring 4 years tire service experience
Bring 1 year of service manager or service writing experience
Willingness to continue education and remain current on Tire issues
Must complete all the current and required store education courses & modules required for this position.
Must have valid automotive driver’s license at all times in order to test drive customer’s vehicles
Ability to hold and maintain valid MSHA Card
Maintain Good standing with Freeport Mines at all times
Willingness to take a federal background check, drug screen and Physical
