Position Summary
General Office Operations Support includes:
• Entering data or performing word processing work in support of local office or function-specific business processes
• Coordinating the logistics for office events
• Coordinating the logistics for office moves (e.g., moving office furniture, packing files, etc.)
• Providing back-up support for reception/switchboard or the mailroom
• Operating input devices to enter data and codes into digital files, forms, and databases
• Maintaining logs of data entered •Monitoring data entry applications screens for errors
• May transcribe or code paper-based source data into format required for data entry
Responsibilities
Acting as first point of contact for Plant Leadership with external inquiries
Data entry and tracking work in support of local office or function specific business processes.
Coordinating the logistics for office events
Supporting community relations activities and processing donation request
Assisting with budget management
Responsible for the function of mailroom activities
Providing plant leadership support to ensure the smooth running of the business, including maintenance of office stock and supplies, database updates.
Undertaking projects on a regular basis, including event planning.
Organizing internal and external meetings, including communications, meal planning, and room set-up.
Supports plant manager and plant leadership with complex travel itineraries.
Supports plant manager and plant leadership with purchasing items, supplies as needed, by utilizing and
Acts as a mentor and resource to other plant business assistants.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience.
