Encouraging an environment of inclusiveness and collaboration

The employee resource group BPROUD helps lead culture change at Bridgestone. They empower teammate engagement in an inclusive workplace and provide a platform for LGBTQ+ teammates and allies that embodies the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion. All teammates are invited to join and take part in championing transformation through networking opportunities, community service and community events.

Bridgestone scored 90 on the HRC’s 2019 Corporate Equality Index, a survey on U.S. corporate policies relating to LGBTQ+ workplace equality with respect to tangible policies, benefits and practices.

BPROUD is heavily involved in the Nashville Pride Parade and Festival, where Bridgestone has been the presenting sponsor for many years. These activities give LGBTQ+ and ally teammates the opportunity to build relationships both at Bridgestone and in the community.
